Ransomwares

Most ransomware families encrypt specific files on infected systems and force users to pay a fee to receive the decryption key. Ransomware usually asks for its ransom through the common crypto-currency of Bitcoin. With this approach, the history of transactions is available to anyone, but the owner of the money is not easily accessible. For this reason, cybercriminals prefer Bitcoin to transfer money, thereby reducing the chances of getting caught. Some ransomware use anonymous money transfer methods or even mobile payments.

If your system was infected with a ransomware, do not turn it off and immdiately contact us: cert@hormozgan.ac.ir and +987633670720
